Bernard Bendok, MD, is a member of the neurovascular surgery and stroke programs and Director of the Neurointerventional program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He holds a joint appointment in the Departments of Neurological Surgery and Radiology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and is on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He is also affiliated with the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute.
Dr. Bendok specializes in microsurgical and interventional techniques for complex neurovascular diseases and tumors. His clinical research focuses on improving patient outcomes and safety through innovative surgical and interventional techniques.
Dr. Bendok has authored more than 200 scientific articles and book chapters and has presented more than 300 papers. He lectures at major meetings and symposia throughout the country and has co-directed several symposia at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He is also the recipient of numerous distinctions and awards for his research and excellence in patient care, including Alpha Omega Alpha membership and the Patient's Choice Award. He has been recognized nationally and internationally for treating highly complex neurovascular diseases and tumors with modern microsurgical and interventional techniques.
