Andrew T. Parsa, MD, PhD, is a neurosurgeon at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a Michael J. Marchese Professor, Chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery and is affiliated with the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute. He is on the Board of Directors for the Society of Neuro-Oncology and is an elected member of the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons (AANS). He has served on the executive board for the AANS Joint Section on Tumors.
Dr. Parsa is an internationally renowned neurosurgeon who specializes in complex tumors of the brain and spine. He initiated one of the first vaccine studies for brain tumor patients and is currently the study chair for the largest randomized brain tumor vaccine trial ever to be funded by the National Cancer Institute.
