Matthew Tate, MD, PhD, is a neurosurgeon at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Assistant Professor in Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and is affiliated with the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute. He has written numerous articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals and was the recipient of the William P. Van Wagenen Fellowship from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS).

Dr. Tate’s research interests include improving outcomes for patients with brain tumors, neuro-oncology, brain mapping, awake brain surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, and developing new insights into the dynamic functional organization of the human brain.
