Patients at the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute receive care from a multidisciplinary team of experts who meet weekly, sharing their knowledge and experience to develop the best possible treatment plan. Our accomplished clinicians and scientists work together to identify brain cancers, study their development, research new techniques, and offer clinical trials of the most promising therapies.
Children with brain tumors are diagnosed and treated by our partner, the Falk Brain Tumor Center at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Tadanori Tomita, MD and Stewart Goldman, MD, lead Falk's team of pediatric specialists.
Treatment is only one aspect of each patient's care; the team works closely with the Lurie Cancer Center's Supportive Oncology Team to ensure that patients and family members receive the emotional, physical and practical support they need.
