Functional Genomics and Drug Target Discovery
Anjen Chenn, MD, PhD Alexander H. Stegh, PhD

Dr. Stegh's primary research focus is finding better treatments for brain tumors. His lab investigates the genetic underpinnings of malignant glioma by identifying and characterizing novel oncogenes and tumor suppressors, important for understanding the pathogenesis of glioblastomas.

His laboratory disovered several potent oncoproteins and, having completed detailed in vitro studies in cell culture, is now developing murine cancer models to explore tumor development and test anti-glioma therapies.
